About Archival Giclee Prints
Using the 8-color Epson UltraChrome K3 pigmented inkjet system and specialized archival papers, the color, detail, and printed image quality of the print editions is excellent and closely resembles the originals. In some cases, the print IS the original. The rated lifespan of these print editions is between 70 to 100 years.
Jeffrey Dale Lawson
Jeff has produced award-winning graphic design work for many decades, but his first love has always been the art of the poster. Jeff graduated from Colorado State University, the biennial hosts of the Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition. Today, Jeff is retired and has returned to his roots using the new techniques of the digital age as well as traditional mediums in creating his original giclee print editions from his studio in Oceanside, California.
Jeff received his B.F.A. at Colorado State University, graduating in 1975. He has been recognized with many awards over his career from organizations including: Communication Arts Magazine, The L.A. Ad Club Belding Awards, The Art Directors Club of Los Angeles, Print Magazine, Creativity Magazine, Western Art Directors West Coast Show, Art Directors Club of Denver, Communicating Arts Group of San Diego, The Communication Arts Society, and The One Show.
In 1990, he started Lawson Design after years of working in the graphic design business in Denver, San Diego and Los Angeles – including stints at Bright & Associates, Doug Boyd Design, and Dennis Juett & Associates. Jeff worked on assignments including: advertising and sales publications, annual reports, signage, corporate design systems, packaging, trade show exhibits and more. Some of his past clients include: Honda Automobiles, Acura Automobiles, American Isuzu Motors, Disney Publishing, American Century Investments, Abbott Medical Optics, and Ryder Transportation.
