Jeff Lawson has produced award-winning graphic design work for years, but his passion has always been art, and occasionally photography. Jeff graduated from Colorado State University, the hosts of the biennial Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition, where he studied under acclaimed poster designers: John Sorbie and Phil Risbeck. He has returned to his roots using techniques of the digital age as well as traditional mediums in creating his original archival giclee editions, which he personally prints from his Oceanside, California studio.
Jeff Lawson received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Colorado State University in 1975. He has been recognized with many design and advertising awards over his career from organizations including: Communication Arts Magazine, The L.A. Ad Club Belding Awards, The Art Directors Club of Los Angeles, Print Magazine, Creativity Magazine, Western Art Directors West Coast Show, Art Directors Club of Denver, Communicating Arts Group of San Diego, The Communication Arts Society, and The One Show.
His design clients have included notable brand names such as American Honda Motors, Honda Automobiles, Acura Automobiles, American Isuzu Motors, Disney Corporation, American Century Investments, Abbott, and Ryder Transportation. Before starting Lawson Design, his 40+ years of experience in the design industry in Los Angeles included stints at Chiat/Day, Bright & Associates, Doug Boyd Design, and Dennis Juett & Associates.
